Then Registered for the first time in the UK on 17/08/2004 with the Registration Number M483 OBD. It was the 55th TSC Vantage made out of 236. It was an unusual colour (Red not being a popular choice for an Aston), and is pictured, when sold brand new, in an Aston showroom in 1994. The Pro-Street Aston picture shows this same Vantage modified for Drag Racing with a 1,200BHP+ Keith Black Modified Hemi Engine. That is why none of the original items including the Vantage ZF Gearbox were required for Pro-Street Racing modifications!Only 8 TSC Vantage Volante were ever made and are now valued in excess of £350,000; as last one sold for £1/4M a few years back. Now none of these 284 TSC Vantages were Widebody cars. Our Original 1 of only 3 Original AMW built TSC style Widebody Volante is the same Year of manufacture as this Engine (TSC Vantage), and has also been specially hand-built by the same Legendary Engine Builder: RON RUSSELL, (the best); one month after the other.
Therefore the similarities are quite remakable from a historical aspect, about matching this engine to our rare TSC style widebody Volante, to make it totally unique among all Astons! Our Volante has only done 41,000 miles; another uncanny similarity with this TSC engine. We can arrange the installation all fully Warrantied for 3 Years at extra cost, if required. This installation includes the upgraded V600 Brakes, Suspension & Exhaust modifications. In fact we recommend Super heavier duty 6 pot APR and other newer and more modern modifications, which perform even better than the AMW V600 upgrades of the 1990's.
AMW Heritage charge around £68,000 including the vat, to rebuild & refit a TSC Engine to full V600 Spec and have a waiting list. (It is over £130,000+ to replace the complete engine without an exchange). Upon conversion all insignia, badges & shrouds were changed to V600 as well. The cost of conversion of the 550 Vantage to FULL V600 Spec was upto £50,000 in the 1990's, not including any engine rebuild, but minor alterations, but a whole host of other improvements, including Supersports exhaust, complete suspension upgrade, and 6 pot APR brake system among other items. An estimated 30-40 TSC Vantages FH may have had these very expensive conversions carried out, to add to the Original 40 Le Mans Coupes made to celebrate Anniversary, which contrary to popular belief came standard with the 550BHP engine, although many opted for the V600. List price new was €1/2 Million Euros on the Continent for this model. So the total number of V600 Coupes may only number 60 odd including the exorbitant Le Mans models, plus the 8 V600 Volante & a single LWB V550 Volante. Please note that none of these cars were WIDEBODY models.
